RHYTHM

In rhythmically complex music such as Messian, Schoenberg, Scriabin and many contemporary composers, it can be helpful for students to try executing the rhythm away from the piano in order to eliminate the added challenge of trying to get the correct rhythm and pitch at the same time.

The same rhythmical configurations will be interpreted with different degrees of precision depending on the particular style or period of music.
