Below are some of the many different aspects involved in learning how to practice effectively.

ENVIRONMENT

Create a positive learning environment. The well-maintained piano should be in a room that is well lit
and adequately heated. Ideally, it should be in a room without distractions; a room that is quiet but not
deserted. Will you have easy access to a piano? If the piano is not in your home or place of residence,
will you be able to have access to it when you want it or will you have to make special arrangements to use it?
Will the hours of use be restricted? Try to work out these details in advance so that you become comfortable with the arrangement.
