Q: Do adult students need support from their families?
A: This is a question that adult students never ask but probably
should! Adult students, especially those who have children of
their own, definitely need support and encouragement from their
spouse and children. Although they will probably not need help
with their ‘homework’, adult students usually need
to rationalize their time away from their families. An adult
student needs to be able to carve out some ‘guilt free’,
‘personal piano' time from their daily responsibilities
and family support is essential.
